QUETTA, (July 28th, 2021 - APP ): The United Nations International Trade Center Quetta, in conjunction with the Women Growth Department of the Government of Balochistan, held a two-day training programme on E-Commerce and digital employable skills for economic development with thirty female Quetta entrepreneurs.
The course seeks to improve women's business knowledge and practical abilities in e-commerce, digital marketing, freelancing, and social entrepreneurship.
The training was held as part of the Growth for Rural Advancement and Sustainable Progress (GRASP) initiative, which was sponsored by the European Union and administered by the International Trade Center in Pakistan's Sindh and Balochistan provinces.
Mr. Khalid Hussain Mir (also known as Khalidgraphy) a social entrepreneur, digital media and e-Commerce expert from Balochistan, Facilitated the two-day training he is founder of multiple startup including he PEEL TECHNOLOGIES an IT, ITeS company based in Quetta, Pakistan.
During the two-day in-person training, all participants were given access to video recorded courses on E-Commerce and entrepreneurship by peelacademy.com, a subsidiary of Peel technologies, in order to gain a thorough and in-depth understanding of the issues presented in the workshop.
At the end of the training, the honourable Parliamentary Secretary for Women Development Department, Ms. Mah Jabeen Shereen, secretary of women development department of Balochistan, and Mr. Zaffar Ali Buledi, secretary of women development department of Balochistan, joined for the certificate distribution ceremony and awarded certificates of participation to all workshop participants.
Mr. Jahanzeb Khan, GRASP Provincial Lead, praised the participants for their enthusiastic engagement as well as the trainers' efforts.
Mr. Zaffer Ali Buledi expressed gratitude to the International Trade Center for conducting this amazing session on E-Commerce and digital employable skills for Quetta women.
At the event, Ms. Mahjabeen Sheeran stated that economic empowerment of women is critical for the country's development, and that without knowledge and proper use of technology, it may be difficult to achieve the goal of women empowerment and gender equality. As a result, the Women Development Department of Balochistan is working hard to empower women and equip them with era-appropriate skills.
